SQUASH BLOSSOMS
The squash blossom design is one of the most iconic forms in southwestern jewelry. While its origins trace back to Spanish and Moorish influences introduced through trade (notably the pomegranate motif), Navajo silversmiths transformed it into something their own. Over time, the squash blossom came to symbolize abundance, nourishment, fertility and protection – a celebration of life. These squash blossom necklaces and earrings are made by Dennis Hogan, known for clean lines and reverence for tradition.
