Margaret Cogswell creates joyful folk paintings on tin that celebrate nature, imagination and everyday magic. Animals and objects are painted with a lighthearted hand, sense of wonder, optimism and childlike enchantment. Small works of art meant to brighten any space and lift the spirit.
Cogswell is a storyteller at heart and has worked in many mediums over her career. Based in Burnsville, North Carolina, she has enjoyed artist residencies, exhibitions and teaching at the Penland School of Craft in NC and around the world.
