Mexican lacquerware is one of the country’s oldest crafts dating to the pre-Hispanic period. These colorful platters and trays are made by artists Florencia Espinal Ramírez and Vicente Castillo of Olinalá, Mexico in the state of Guerrero, southwest of Mexico City.
